The artist challenges our understanding of time by stressing, stopping or transcending its inevitable progression. Here, he does so by converting the immeasurable time of the stone into human time - in the tiny, measurable, incessantly ticking seconds of the cuckoo clock. But the fact is: unlike the lifespan of a stone, ours is limited. Especially if we are not careful with the stone we live on - our planet.
