Ilse D’Hollander - Untitled, 1996

  • Medium: oil paint on paper
  • Size: 17,5 x 12,5 cm

Raveel is mentioned as an inspiration, Nicolas de Staël too, but especially Raoul De Keyser. Yet D'Hollander's works need no explanation to be fully immersed. Roughly rendered, overlapping areas of colour that seem to push each other up and down, back and forth, reminiscent of (parcelled) landscapes, perhaps the sea.
