Although 70% of our planet is covered with water, freshwater to live from becomes more and more scarce. We see now already that many regions in the world are threatened with shor-tages of freshwater. Due to global warming, sea levels are raising, droughts become more common, glaciers disappear,… Protecting our most important need is crucial!
Water is the new (blue) gold.

THE ARTIST: KRISTOF GHEKIERE
Kristof is a Belgian artist, based in Bangkok Thailand. His artwork is in a calm and minimalist approach. He began his art by noticing and observing the surroundings around him. Then grabbing the impression, either by memory or photograph, starts the interpretation process balancing between reason and feeling, like a mind map: image capture - analysis - sensation - subtraction - image capture - analysis - sensation.
